Flu Vaccinations

Flu vaccinations are now offered as a mop up arrangement for under 65 year olds following our successful mass community clinic. Please contact the practice if you would still like to receive this. NHS Borders are still vaccinating the over 65 cohort. 

Please remember when you come along for your vaccination to:

  • Wear a face covering.
  • Sanitise hands upon arrival.
  • Bring minimal belongings.

DO NOT ATTEND if you are suffering from a new or persistent cough, temperature or loss of sense of smell / taste (anosmia).

If you have suffered an allergic reaction to the vaccine in previous years, please contact the practice.

If you have an egg allergy, please contact the practice to arrange vaccination.

At risk conditions that will be vaccinated by the practice are as follows:

Chronic Respiratory Disease (i.e. Chronic Asthma*, COPD, Bronchitis etc)

*asthma that requires continuous or repeated use of inhaled or oral steroids or    with previous exacerbations requiring hospital admission

Chronic Heart Disease

Chronic Kidney or Liver Disease

Neurological Conditions (i.e. Stroke, TIA etc)

Diabetes

Immunosuppression

Asplenia or dysfunction of the spleen

BMI over 40
